The HP StorageWorks Edge Switch 2/12 is a new entry-level switch based on the award winning Edge Switch 2/24 design. Features such as HotCAT online code activation and Flexport Technology capacity on demand deliver reliability and flexibility, greatly simplifying storage environments. The Edge Switch 2/12 leverages the same internal components, providing an unprecedented level of integration, which reduces component count resulting in high reliability in the switch. The 2/12 supports 4, 8, or 12 ports through the Flexport option. All ports are auto sensing 1 or 2GB and can be configured to operate as F, FL or E ports.
