Photographer's Formulary 120 Low Contrast Paper Developer is a metol based developer, and is similar in composition to Ansco 120. Developer 120 produces soft prints with good blacks and neutral tones and should not be confused with Formulary Developer 120ED - a high-contrast catechol developer. The prints have good tonal separation with a decrease of 1/2 to 1 paper grades of contrast. The chemicals in the formula prepare a stock solution which is diluted 1:2 for the working solution.
