Description
Based on the legendary preamp and chorus sections of the Roland Jazz Chorus amp, the Behringer Chorus Symphony is a modulation pedal sporting a real analog bucket-brigade device (BBD) for authentic '70s-style modulation FX. Equipped with switchable input sensitivity for handling numerous instruments, the Symphony Chorus can add lush texture and thickness to any signal.Sporting not just one but two modulation effects, the Symphony Chorus provides a second dedicated footswitch for selecting between chorus or vibrato. The chorus effect features a single, simple Intensity control that simultaneously adjusts speed and depth, while the vibrato effect provides separate Depth and Rate control knobs. A Level control enables adjustment of the preamp for adding some grit or pushing your signal into overdrive. An internal switch can be used to switch between buffered bypass (ideal for long cable runs) or true bypass (for pure, uncolored tone). A peak LED indicator lets you avoid unwanted clipping. With a robust metal chassis and a vintage aesthetic design, the Symphony Chorus will keep all eyes on you, tour after tour, and without skipping a beat.Huge Sounds Since 1976 Based on the legendary preamp and chorus sections of the Roland Jazz Chorus amp, the Behringer Chorus Symphony is a modulation pedal sporting a real analog bucket-brigade device (BBD) for authentic '70s-style modulation FX. Indeed, the preamp and chorus effect of this amp have been proven to be so popular that Roland quickly placed them in their own pedal design in the '80s.That iconic modulation became an instant classic, used by many famous musicians such as John Frusciante, Brian May, Joe Satriani, and Andy Summers to name a few. You can even hear the effect in the song by The Police, Message in a Bottle.Bring in the Bucket Brigade The original circuitry was one of the first of its kind to use a BBD (bucket-brigade device) circuit. The preamp section includes a high/low switch that can add a lot of body to your sound or push the preamp into overdrive territory. Turn the level control clockwise, and you can add even more crunch and drive to your signal.Chorus Intensity The Chorus Intensity knob adjusts both speed and depth, to add a nice warble and wiggle to your sound. At max, it adds a slight detuning effect that's still sounds musical and can be used to add movement, lush textures, and life to any chord progression.Additional Controls and Options The Chorus Symphony is not merely a chorus pedal, it also provides a vibrato section with separate depth and rate control knobs. By pushing an internal slide switch, you can also select between buffered bypass or true bypass. Finally, the pedal features both mono and stereo output options, allowing you to enjoy either a thick chorused mono output or a wide, 3D stereo sound.
