Designed for heightened soundstage and base, the LCD-GX utilizes an open-back design that forgoes isolation in favor of a more spacious sound, allowing for easier pickup of directional cues in FPS titles or more atmospheric sound in adventure or horror games. The planar magnetic drivers are larger than traditional dynamic drivers and deliver a deeper bass response with more low-end extension, making the LCD-GX suitable for gaming as well as mixing, monitoring, and editing audio. Open-cell foam earpads and a lightweight suspension-style headband ensure ample comfort for marathon gaming sessions. Featuring a detachable cable design, these headphones come with two cables including one cable with a built-in boom mic and 1/8" TRRS connector and one audio-only cable with a 1/4" TRS connector. Utilizing directional pickup, the boom mic can be adjusted for optimal clarity so you can be clearly heard by teammates. A 1/8" TRRS to dual 1/8" TRS splitter is also included for use with gaming computers featuring separate mic and headphone ports. Use the included travel case to keep your headphones safe while on the go.Comfort The LCD-GX is handcrafted in Audeze's California factory and features a magnesium housing, memory foam ear pads, and a suspension headband designed to reduce weight and extend comfort for marathon gaming sessions.Performance A new single-sided Fluxor magnetic structure provides high sensitivity and a low distortion of 100 dB or 1mW at 1 kHz, allowing the LCD-GX to work with a wide variety of devices. To get the best output from the headphones, it is suggested to pair them with an amplifier and DAC.Microphone The LCD-GX includes a detachable cable with a built-in directional and noise-attenuating boom microphone. The microphone cable includes a mute button and flexible gooseneck arm, allowing customized positioning for optimal pickup.Compatibility The LCD-GX comes with two exchangeable cables, including a boom mic cable and a standard LCD series cable for users who don't always need the boom mic. The boom mic cable terminates with a 1/8" TRRS four-conductor plug for use with a wide range of devices, including computers, Macs, smartphones, and tablets. A dual 1/8" inch splitter is also included, allowing the headphones to be used with gaming computers utilizing separate headphone and microphone inputs. Use the included OMTP to CTIA audio adapter to reverse the ground and mic connections on the 1/8" plug, ensuring hassle-free operation with Apple or Android devices.
