The Celestron CPC Deluxe 800 HD 8" f/10 Cassegrain GoTo AZ Telescope is a complete observation and astroimaging rig composed of a powerful and portable optical tube, a sturdy dual fork mount, the iconic NexStar computer hand controller, and a solid stainless steel tripod. A suite of accessories let you start enjoying the night sky right out of the box.Optics 8" (203.2mm) f/10 aperture strikes a balance between power and portability2032mm effective focal lengthEdgeHD catadioptric optical system employs an aplanatic field-flattener design that eliminates spherical aberration, field curvature, and off-axis star coma to improve resolution, sharpness, and clarity across the entire field of view especially at the edgesFine-annealed Pyrex glass reduces internal light loss to improve color, clarity, and sharpnessStarBright XLT optical coatingsFlexible tension clutches hold the primary mirror in place to reduce image shift without putting any force or pressure on the mirror assembly, keeping subjects centeredInternal mirror locks prevent accidental adjustment to focus, which is important during long-exposure astrophotographyInternal focusing mechanism moves the primary mirror forward and back to achieve tack-sharp viewsResolution: 0.69 arcsec (Rayleigh); 0.579 arcsec (Dawes)Secondary mirror obstruction: 2.5" (64mm); 31% by diameter; 9.77% by areaFastar compatibility allows you to remove the secondary mirror and replace it with an imaging system to greatly reduce the focal ratio for shorter exposure times and a wider field of viewStarBright XLT System Maximizes light transmission through optical pathImproves color rendition, contrast, sharpness, resolution, and brightnessBroadband system provides flat wavelength transmission across the entire visual spectrumMultilayer mirror coatings with layers of aluminum, SiO2 (quartz), and TiO2 (titanium dioxide)Multilayer anti-reflective corrector plate coatings with layers of MgF2 (magnesium fluoride) and HfO2 (hafnium dioxide); hafnium has a wider band-pass than the commonly used titaniumHigh-transmission water white glass corrector plate limits light loss due to internal absorptionMount Dual-fork alt-az NexStar+ database: more than 40,000 objects, 100 user defined programmable objects, enhanced information on over 200 objects DC servo motors 2 AUX Ports (Hand controller can use any of the AUX ports) 12V 1.5A power supply Included Accessories Eyepiece:1.25" barrel diameterAccepts most 1.25" astronomical filters40mm focal length produces 51x powerDiagonal:90 angle places head in comfortable viewing position1.25" holder accepts the most common sized eyepieces and accessoriesStar configuration corrects view horizontally, but not verticallyFinderscope:Low 9x magnification ensures a wide field of view for easier alignment50mm objective allows users to see dimmer objects for more alignment star choicesIncludes quick release bracket
