Description
Building on the success of the original model, the Origin Mark II Intelligent Home Observatory from Celestron incorporates AI image processing and a new CMOS sensor from Sony to capture spectacular views of the cosmos. The Origin Mark II is built on Rowe-Ackerman Schmidt Astrograph, Celestron's groundbreaking design now in use worldwide to detect satellite-threatening space debris, set on a fully motorized and computerized GoTo mount. Simply open the Origin app on your phone or tablet, scan the sky, and select the object you wish to observe and photograph. The Origin will point to the star, cluster, or nebula and send rich, autofocused images to the screen of your device, tracking the object as it moves across the sky and refreshing with increasingly detailed exposures. Choose to hear the audio presentation for each object if you'd like more details. More advanced astro-imagers can download raw images via USB-A port for processing with third-party software, and a built-in holder accommodates 1.25 and 2" filters. The Origin sits on a full-height tripod with two-section legs.None 6" Rowe-Ackerman Schmidt Astrograph optical tube, f/2.2, 335mm focal lengthFully automated Origin single fork-arm mount with internal lithium battery8.4MP Sony Starvis 2 CMOS IMX678-AAQR1 sensor with 2 x 2 pixels for finely detailed resolutionBuilt-in AI algorithms automatically process every frame in real timeAlgorithms work in real-time on live-stacked images as well as final stacked master to provide rich color and detailStarbright XLT coatings for optimal light transmissionFully automated heating element integrated into front lens, removable dew shield/lens shadeAutofocus or manual controlRechargeable 97.9Wh LiFePO4 battery12 VDC adapter for charging internal battery or running on external AC powerCooling fans for optics and electronicsLED ring indicates status at-a-glanceMount features integrated carry handles and manual clutches for easy setup and breakdownOrigin app for star navigation; choose an object from the phone screen and select Live View for telescope imageMost visible objects are highlighted, along with a Tonight's Best list of observation choicesSelect audio presentation for celestial object infoCan be used for daytime terrestrial observation and photographyFull-height tripod with two-section aluminum legs
