The AGM PVS-7 NL1 Gen 2 Level 1 Night Vision Bi-Ocular is a durable, weather-resistant night vision imaging device modeled on the NV system used by the US Armed Forces. Equipped with automatic brightness control, the PVS-7's circuitry automatically adjusts the brightness level of the image tube in varying light conditions. This device is lightweight, rugged, and built to withstand the rigors of use in extreme situations, delivering exceptional gain and resolution on the darkest of nights. The tube is designated as Level 1: the user can expect a clear view with no spots. The bi-ocular viewing configuration provides easy viewing with both eyes while reducing weight and bulk. An array of accessories are included, such as a head mount assembly, demist shields, and a sacrificial lens to enhance the PVS-7's usability and improve its longevity.Performance Gen 2 intensifier tubeGen 2 tubes offer longer useful ranges than Gen 1, with better resolution, cleaner and brighter images, and lower susceptibility to blooming and distortion"Level 1" tube condition has no spots and indicates a very clean tube for the clearest viewsCompact 27mm f/1.2 lens system1x magnification ensures a wide field of viewWide 40 field of viewShort 8" minimum focus distance enables user to perform tasks in the dark-6 to +2 diopter adjustment keeps views sharp and clear even when the user's vision isn't perfectUse and Construction Compact & rugged design can withstand harsh environments and intense useWaterproof against driving rain and snow for use in hostile conditionsCan be used handheld or mounted to a head or helmetBuilt-in infrared illuminator provides invisible illumination without giving away a user's position, with a flood lens for close workBright light cut-off prevents damage to intensifier tube and user's eyeAutomatic brightness control adjusts display brightness to ensure clear views without oversaturation or giving away the user's positionFlip-up shut-off for use with the optional helmet mount systemIn-view LED indicators for low battery, IR illuminator on, and excessive light conditionsRuns on two AA alkaline or one BA-5567/ U lithium batteryOperating battery runtime of up to 60 hours at 68 FIncluded Items Head mount assembly enables the NVD to be worn on the head without a helmetWinged rubber eye cups conform to the user's eye socket to improve the view, prevent peripheral light from interfering with the view, and eliminates the possibility of other from seeing the display glowSoft carrying case with a removable shoulder strapSacrificial window protects the objective lens and coatings from impact damage, dust, sand and other airborne abrasives, replaceable if neededDemist Shields: Snaps onto the eye piece to prevent condensation from forming on the optics during rapid temperature changes during heavy and/or long use. Ideal in constantly humid or maritime environments and desert locations where the temperature can change dramatically between dusk and dawnDaylight filter fits over the objective lens and reduces light input to a safe (night-time) level, allowing safe extended daytime use ideal for training
