Building off the success of the 14x40 TSN IS binoculars, these upgraded Fujinon TS-X 14x40 Techno-Stabi Image-Stabilized Binoculars have a wider 6 stabilization range, a buoyant chassis design, and are powered by rechargeable NiMH batteries significant improvements over the regular model. With these new X version binoculars, you'll enjoy the high power of 14x magnification without having to use a tripod. See the details of far-off subjects without the distracting hand shake that typically spoils the view of traditional high-power optics, especially useful when glassing from a moving vehicle or when setting sailing across choppy seas.Fully multicoated optics and reverse-Porro prisms deliver a bright and crisp image with accurate color and vivid contrast, and the wide exit pupil and twist-up eyecups make these binoculars comfortable to use, whether you're wearing glasses or viewing for long periods of time. They will run for up to 18 hours on the four included AA batteries, or for 22 hours with your NiMH rechargeables. They come with a case, a strap, and tethered eyecups.Optical Performance Two-axis 6 image stabilization keeps views steady against natural hand shake, vibration from moving vehicles, and pitching seasPowerful 14x magnification is ideal for nature watching, birding, sporting events, concerts, and wide-field astronomical use40mm objective lenses provide the light-gathering capability required to keep views bright and clear in all conditionsReverse Porro prism light path produces a more compact housing versus traditional Porro designs4-element objective lens system and 6-element eyepiece lens system correct chromatic aberration to produce accurate colors with reduced fringing and halos with edge-to-edge sharpnessAntireflection fully multicoated lenses maximize light transmission to keep views bright and clear with accurate color representation210' field of view at 1000 yardsUse and Handling Two push-button interface turns the system on and engages/disengages the IS systemAuto-off function to conserve battery lifeLow-profile, slip-resistant knob is ergonomically placed to be easy to find with your right forefingerTwist-up eyecups for comfortable use with or without eyewear 2 right eye dioptric correction for tack-sharp focusing even without perfect eyesight48mm front lens threads allow the use of filters, such as polarizing or ND, to improve the views in snowy conditions or when using on or near water on bright and sunny days60-70mm interpupillary adjustment range accommodates users of all sizes13mm eye reliefComfortable 2.9mm exit pupil completely covers pupils in most light conditionsConstruction Details Buoyant floating design allows you to retrieve them if they fall overboardFiberglass-reinforced plastic housing is lightweight and comfortable to hold for long periodsCompact form factor at just 7" longNeck strap and carry casePowered by four included disposable AA batteries with a maximum runtime up to 18 hoursAlso compatible with rechargeable NiMH AA batteries for a maximum runtime of 22 hoursBroad 14 to 131 F operating temperature range
