The unique mic capsule features a 16mm gold-sputtered Mylar diaphragm and is constructed from ceramic rather than metal to ensure consistent performance at a variety of temperatures. The capsule is protected by a triple-layer wire-mesh grille at the front and a dual-layer mesh for the rear-entry ports.
