Definitive Technology

From discreet aesthetics to nuanced and balanced audio production, the Dymension CI DW-MAX SUR In-Wall Surround Speaker from Definitive Technology is an elegant finishing tough to your high-performance home theater system. Ideally suited for larger rooms and home cinemas, the DW-MX SUR features Definitive Technology's bipolar technology. This orients the pair of 1" pivoting aluminum oxide dome tweeters and 6.5" BDSS (Balanced Double Surround System) woofers on opposite-facing horizontal planes. The result is a multi-directional array that bathes the room in sound with distortion-free highs, robust and punchy lows, and an even, crisp midrange. Thanks to a linear response waveguide, that midrange sound is kept natural and open with both on-axis and off-axis frequency dispersion.Easy Toolless Installation The two-part design takes mere minutes to install without tools, and the integrated frame and baffle rest flush and border-free in a wall. Taking advantage of a paintable micro-perforated magnetic grille, the DW-MAX SUR can virtually disappear from view.Indoor or Outdoor High quality surround sound reproduction does not have to be relegated to an indoor cinema room. With IP55-rated protection from water and dust, the DW-MAX SUR can also be utilized outdoors on a deck or patio.Tweeter Adjustment Use the 3-position tweeter attenuation switch on the DW-MAX SUR to adjust the high-end response to mitigate a room's acoustic dynamics, with -2 dB, flat, and +2 dB settings.Timbre Matched A complimentary home theater speaker system can easily be created with this Dymension CI DW-MAX SUR speaker and other components from Definitive Technology. This surround speaker is timbre-matched to Dymension, Dymension CI, and Mythos speakers, as well as Descent series subwoofers.
