Hawke Sport Optics

With a magnification objective lens configuration favored by professionals all over the world for its versatility and ease-of-use, the green Hawke Optics 8x42 Frontier APO Binoculars deliver bright, high-contrast images with true-to-life color and crisp clarity, even in low and challenging lighting conditions such as those at dawn and dusk or under a heavy canopy. These binoculars feature anti-reflection fully multicoated extra-low-dispersion (ED) apochromatic lenses with phase-correcting and dielectric coatings on BAK4 roof prisms. When these optical components are combined you will be presented with bright and clear high-contrast images with accurate colors and enhanced clarity without distortion or fringing even at the extreme edges. A wide apparent angle of view offers you an immersive observational experience with a near panoramic view that complements the impressive optical performance. Designed to stand up to a life lived outdoors, the optical tubes are nitrogen filled and O-ring sealed to make them waterproof and resistant to internal fogging when moving through extreme temperature and environmental variations. The chassis is made from a magnesium alloy to make it lightweight and corrosion resistant in a protective slip-resistant armor. Hawke includes tethered front and rear lens caps to add an additional layer of protection in the field, with the ability to quickly react to glassing opportunities without fear of losing the caps.Optical Performance 8x power magnifies view without sacrificing the wide field of view, exit pupil, or long eye relief42mm objective lenses provide excellent light-gathering capability without being too large or heavyCompact roof prism light path ensures a slim profile without sacrificing performanceBAK4 prism glass delivers a round exit pupil and a crisp and clear image with limited edge distortionExtra-low-dispersion (ED) glass lens elements produce bright and clear images with accurate color rendition and improved contrast, without fringingApochromatic lens design virtually eliminates chromatic and spherical aberrations ensuring views remain tack sharp especially at the edgesPhase-correcting and dielectric mirror prism coatings eliminate internal interference, light loss, and diffraction to improve clarity, resolution, and contrastAnti-reflection fully multicoated optics maximize light transmission to ensure bright and clear images with accurate colors and further improved contrast and clarityWide 65 apparent angle of view presents sweeping views of the terrain, limiting the need for the user to move their head side to side to see the entire landscapeGenerous 426' field of view at 1000 yardsUse and Handling Short closed-bridge configuration offers a solid and stable platform for the focusing systemLarge, slip-resistant center focusing wheel is easy to manipulate in cold or wet conditions or when wearing glovesRight-eye dioptric correction allows for precise focusing even for those who normally require corrective eyewear58-78mm interpupillary adjustment range allows easy use by a wide variety of peopleTwist-up click-stop rubber eyecups for comfortable use with or without eyewearLong 18mm eye relief reduces eyestrain for easier viewing, especially during long glassing sessionsWide 5.25mm exit pupil will cover pupils as they open and dilate in low light to keep the entire scene in view at all timesConstruction Details Strong and lightweight magnesium alloy chassisNitrogen filled and O-ring sealed to be waterproof and resistant to internal fogging when moving through extreme changes in temperature and environmental conditionsProtective green slip-resistant rubber armoring with textured palm pad improves grip securityHydrophobic exterior lens coating sheds rain & water and makes dirt, oil, and fingerprints easier to clean off without leaving residue or smudgesTethered objective lens caps and ocular rainguard offer maximum lens protection without the risk of losing them during use
