The fusion of analog and digital now exists within the Copper Edition of the A&ultima SP3000T High-Resolution Music Player from Astell & Kern. The SP3000T incorporates dual RAYTHEON JAN6418 miniature vacuum tubes to deliver the warmth and smoothness of vintage analog sound. It also uses advanced DACs and hi-res audio support for digital playback with pristine clarity and fidelity. Both aspects are kept pure by separate signal processing chipsets, and work together with a TRIPLE AMP SYSTEM to deliver Astell & Kern's flagship TERATON ALPHA technology. These technologies and more are contained within a luxurious 99.98% copper body that features a 5.5" 1080p touchscreen, black-tinted rear glass, and analog volume knob.Vacuum Tubes for Analog Sound To achieve an authentically warm and smooth analog sound, Astell & Kern managed to incorporate actual vacuum tubes within the SP3000T. The player has dual RAYTHEON JAN6418 miniature vacuum tubes that meet military communication equipment specifications. Each pair are carefully measured to minimize output deviation between left and right channels for more natural sound reproduction. A custom silicone module case, tubing, and dampers, and an independent PCB help to maintain low noise levels to maximize resolution and clarity. When accessing the vacuum tubes, you can choose between low, mid, and high tube current to fine-tune the amplifier for subtle shifts in density and spatial presence. When active in Vacuum Tube or Hybrid mode, a vacuum tube LED on the rear of the SP3000T will light up to further enhance the analog feel.Separate Audio Processing Different processing chipsets are used for both digital and analog audio reproduction. Dual AKM AK4191EQ handle digital signal processing, while dual AKM AK4499EX handle analog signal processing. The digital DACs are applied individually to the left and right channels. OP AMP and TUBE AMP are also segregated, all to maximize the DAC's performance with better depth and richness in low frequencies.
