The 4188 CORE+ Cardioid Flex Earset Microphone from DPA puts the sound of the 4088 cardioid capsule and CORE+ amplifier in a slim housing and combines it with a discreet and flexible single-ear earset. It can be used when talent needs to be mic'd quickly and easily, and its lightweight, comfortable design means the person wearing the microphone will barely notice its presence, making it well suited to conference, speech, broadcast, and live-performance applications.The ergonomic 4188 easily adjusts to fit any ear size and head shape, while at the same time, it mounts securely and is hardly visible. By rotating the boom and the ear hook, the microphone can be used on either the left or the right ear. The modular design allows the connector cable to split from the microphone boom, making it easy to swap out broken cables and/or wireless connectors quickly and easily without having to replace the entire microphone. The long 120mm boom arm is also interchangeable. Modular System Featuring MicroLock ConnectorSecure, Dependable, and Adaptable Built to withstand the rigors of long-term everyday use, DPA's MicroLock system features an easy-to-use, secure, and wear-resistant locking connector specially engineered to minimize accidental disconnection and ensure reliable performance. The compact design is well suited to situations where space is limited and a visually discreet solution is preferred.The 4188 will work with a wide variety of wireless transmitters via separately available adapters. Simply choose the MicroLock adapter (available separately) with the appropriate connector for your bodypack transmitter and you're good to go.MicroLock is fully backwards compatible with the MicroDot connection; MicroLock parts can be assembled with MicroDot parts and function as if they were of the MicroDot type. Please note that the locking function is only available if both the male and female parts are MicroLock.
