National Optical

The 452TBL-15-LED 1x/3x Stereo Microscope from National Optical is a dual magnification stereoscopic microscope designed for laboratories, high school and university students. The stereo (two) eyepiece configuration is preferred by most researchers and students because of the superior depth of field and comfort compared to monocular microscopes. This model of the 452 stereo microscope has a paired 15x eyepiece delivering 15x and 45x magnification. Two achromatic paired objectives are parcentered and parfocalled to keep the specimen centered and focused when switching between the two magnification settings. The 452TBL-15-LED microscope can illuminate specimens from above and/or below using cordless LED lights activated by separate base-mounted On/Off switches. LED lighting is suitable for microscopy because of its cool operating temperature, relatively white color temperature, and energy efficiency. The cordless LED lights will provide up to 50 hours of illumination after a full eight-hour charge. The rack and pinion system has a single focus dial and includes a slip clutch mechanism to prevent mishandling. An adjustable interpupillary distance, left-side diopter correction, and reticle holder/retainer make the 452 stereo microscope a welcome addition to classrooms as well as labs.Optical System Paired 15x (20mm) inclined eyepiece1x and 3x achromatic objectives15x and 45x magnificationParfocalled, parcentered, paired objectives75mm / 3" working distance, 35mm / 1.4" maximum specimen heightEyepiece with diopter adjustment and reticle holder/retainer55-75mm / 2.2-3" interpupillary distanceFocusing Rack and pinion focus systemSlip clutch prevents over-turningTension adjustment prevents focus driftLighting Incidental (top) cordless LED illuminationTransmitted (bottom) cordless LED illuminationUp to 50 hours of continuous operation on a full chargeDual base-mounted On/Off switchesConstruction Details 80mm frosted glass and 80mm reversible black and white stage platesLocked on metal stage clipsCast metal frameGrey enamel finish12.2" (31 cm) height5.5 lb (2.5 kg) weight
