It attaches to the bottom of the body via a 1/4"-20 screw with built-in silicone pads to prevent camera body scratches. The design increases the ergonomics while providing an integrated Arca-type plate and four 1/4"-20 threaded holes at the bottom to attach Manfrotto-type plates and tripods. It also retains full access to the camera battery and memory card ports.
