Alpen Optics

Outfitted with large objectives that optimize their performance in low light and when observing across vast distances, the Alpen Optics 10x50 Apex Waterproof Binoculars will be your go-to optic for all outdoor activities in any weather conditions. The Apex series features proprietary PXA phase-correcting prism coatings and HR metallic covered reflective prism surfaces that maximize light transmission and boost clarity and contrast. The prism coatings are complemented by anti-reflection fully multicoated optics which provide bright and clear high-contrast views with accurate color rendition. The 50mm objectives gather all the light needed to keep views crisp and bright in challenging conditions, such as at dawn and dusk, while producing a wide exit pupil and comfortable eye relief despite their high power. Their wide field of view helps to minimize the distracting hand-shake that is common with high-power optics and reduces side-to-side head movement.Optical Performance Ideal for long-range use, the 10x magnification brings objects in close for detailed observationLarge 50mm objective lenses ensure views are bright and crisp when viewing at long-range and in challenging conditions such as at dawn and duskCompact roof prisms help to offset the extra size and weight of the larger objects by allowing for a thinner housing without compromising performanceBAK4 prisms deliver a round exit pupil and a crisp and clear image with limited edge distortionPXA phase correcting prism coatings improve contrast and clarityHR metallic prism coatings on internal reflective surfaces to limit light loss and maximize light transmission through the prism systemAnti-reflection fully multicoatings improve light transmission, color rendition, and contrastWide apparent angle of view minimizes the appearance of distracting hand-shakeSpacious 341' field of view at 1000 yardsUse and Handling Closed bridge configuration provides a solid and stable platform for the internal focusing mechanismLarge slip-resistant center focus wheel is easy to manipulate in cold and wet weather, or when wearing glovesRight-eye dioptric correction ensures tack-sharp viewsTwist-up rubber eyecups for comfortable use with or without eyewearComfortable 16.9mm eye relief reduces eye strainWide 5mm exit pupil will cover most pupils and keep the whole scene in your viewConstruction Details Nitrogen-filled to be resistant to internal fogging when moving through extreme changes in weather and environmental conditionsO-ring sealed to be waterproof and submersible to a depth of 3.3' for up to 30 minutesTextured armoring with improve grip in cold and wet conditionsStandard 1/4"-20 socket accepts an optional adapter for hands-free use on a tripodFront and rear single-piece rainguards ensure that the lenses remain clean with the ability to attach them to the neck strap so they won't get lostIncludes carrying case and neck strapWeight: 41.6 ounces
