The UpClose G2 20x50 Porro Binoculars from Celestron has a traditional Porro design with BAK7 glass and multi-coated optics; creating a viewing experience of clarity and high contrast. The combination of the 50 mm objective size with 20x magnification delivers the largest binocular size that can be hand-held without too much shaking and without a mount. Of course a 50 millimeter objective has enough light transmission to be used successfully in low light conditions and the high 20x brings in the details of distant objects. This is a good size binocular for scanning the night sky for celestial observation. Rubber covered aluminum with indented thumb holds and finger ridges provide a protective non-slip grip and added protection for the housing and optics. Coupled with a wide-angle FOV, this binocular produces an all around scope for sports events, hunting, nature walks, astronomy or just visually inhaling outdoor panoramic vistas.None Wide AAoV of 64 None Large ridged center focus wheel affords easily accessible focusingNone Rubber eyecups and right eye diopter adjustment supply comfortable customized viewingNone Porro Prisms offer enhanced three-dimensional imaging, less light loss and generally sharper images for a smaller investmentNone Rubber covered aluminum body with ergonomic thumb indents and finger ridges provide a secure and comfortable grip, as well as added shock-resistanceNone BAK7 glass with multi-coated optics on at least one lens surface reduces light loss and glare due to reflection offering a brighter, higher-contrast imageNone Celestron recommends this binocular for bird watching, sporting events, nature & wildlife, hunting, travel & ventures, concerts & live events, and boating
