Celestron

To address the particular demands of hunters, birders, and outdoor enthusiasts especially when glassing at a long distance Celestron upgraded their venerable series of binoculars with extra-low-dispersion glass in the 10x42 Nature DX ED Binoculars. They deliver bright high-contrast images with accurate true-to-life color and crisp clarity, even when observing from long distances. To achieve this optical performance, these binoculars feature anti-reflection fully multi-coated extra-low-dispersion (ED) glass lenses with phase-corrected BAK4 roof prisms. The apparent angle of view approaches wide angle, not only to present an immersive observational experience to complement the impressive performance, but also because it helps minimize the appearance of the distracting hand shake that is common when holding high-power optics.Designed to stand up to a lifetime of outdoor use, the binoculars' chassis is made of a lightweight and durable polycarbonate that is also corrosion resistant, making them ideal for boaters. The optical tubes are nitrogen filled and O-ring sealed to make them waterproof and resistant to internal fogging when moving through extreme changes in temperature or environmental conditions. Celestron binoculars include tethered front and rear lens caps to add an additional layer of protection in the field, with the ability to quickly react to glassing opportunities without fear of losing the caps. For those long days in your blind, in the field, or if you just want to eliminate arm fatigue or hand shake, the Nature DX ED can be tripod mounted using an optional adapter.Optical Performance High 10x magnification brings distant subjects in for close viewing and identification42mm objective lenses gather the light needed to ensure views remain bright and clear, even in challenging light conditionsCompact roof prism design provides a slim form factor without compromising performanceBAK4 prism glass delivers a round exit pupil and crisp, clear images with limited edge distortionPhase-corrected prism coatings reduce internal interference to improve contrast, clarity, and resolutionExtra-low-dispersion (ED) glass lens elements reduce chromatic and spherical aberrations to produce views with true color rendition without fringing, halos, or distortion across the entire field of viewAnti-reflection fully multi-coated lenses maximize light transmission for bright and clear images with accurate color renditionShort 6.5' close focus distance allows detailed inspections of hummingbirds, insects, flowers, and other flora & faunaApparent angle of view approaches wide angle to help minimize the appearance of distracting hand shake that is common when holding high-power optics309-foot field of view at 1000 yardsUse and Handling Closed bridge configuration offers a stable platform for the internal focusing mechanismLarge slip-resistant center focus wheel is easy to manipulate in cold or wet conditions, or when wearing gloves 3 right-eye diopter adjustment enables users to compensate for optical prescription for sharper focusingWide 56-74mm interpupillary adjustment range allows easy use by a wide variety of peopleTwist-up click-stop eyecups for comfortable use with or without eyewearTripod mountable with optional adapter for hands-free use to eliminate vibrations and arm fatigue14.3mm eye reliefComfortable 4.2mm exit pupil makes viewing in low light easier and more comfortableConstruction Details Light and durable polycarbonate chassis is resistant to the expansion and contraction that metal chassis are susceptible to and which can cause the optical components to move out of alignment over time, preventing the ability to achieve sharp focusExterior rubber armor with textured palm pads offers impact protection while providing a slip-resistant gripNitrogen filled and O-ring sealed to be waterproof and resistant to internal fogging when moving though extreme temperature and environmental conditionsTethered flip-down objective lens caps
