Sketching Light: An Illustrated Tour of the Possibilities of Flash from New Riders and written by Joe McNally takes us on another memorable ride sketching light using a variety of flash options. McNally covers Nikon speedlights as well as "in-between" lights like the Elinchrom Quadra. The most important aspect of his instruction is the straightforward, complete, and honest style. No secrets are held back and the principles he talks about apply generally to the shaping and quality of light, not just to an individual model or brand of flash. He tells readers what works and what doesn't via his "let's-see-what-happens" approach. McNally shows how he sets up his shots with plentiful sketches and behind-the-scenes production shots. About the Author: Joe McNally is an internationally acclaimed photographer, whose career has spanned 30 years and included assignments in over 50 countries. He has shot for Time, Sports Illustrated, National Geographic, and Life. He is a recipient of the Alfred Eisenstaedt Award and has been honored by Pictures of the Year International, World Press Photo, The Art Directors Club, American Photo, Communication Arts, and Graphis.
