Description
Distribute a single source to multiple destinations with the 1x8 HDMI Distribution Amplifier from AVPro Edge. The HDCP 2.3-compliant device supports video resolutions up to 8K60 and 4K120 with 4:4:4 chroma subsampling and boasts a 48 Gb/s video bandwidth. It supports HDMI 2.1, HDR content, custom EDID blend, and de-embedded audio up to 7.1-channel digital signals and 2-channel analog. The unit features front panel LED indicators for signal status, and it comes with a 12V power supply and a set of mounting brackets. Additional DetailsDownscaling Each HDMI output may be configured for downscaling. An 8K signal may be downscaled to 4K or 1080p, while 4K content may be downscaled to 1080p for systems with legacy display technology.Extracted Audio Multichannel digital audio up to 7.1 may be intercepted from the HDMI stream and output via TOSLINK. Two-channel analog audio can be output via the 5-pin balanced terminal block if it originates as two-channel PCM.Fixed FRL Rate The FRL rate may be set to a fixed rate in the front panel menu or via the device API. First-generation new technology displays may not be able to contend with higher bandwidth signals, unlike later models can. Limiting the signal bandwidth to first-gen models in mixed systems maintains system stability.Extended EID Management The unit features 20 pre-configured EDID slots, including support for FRL Lanes 3 through 6 and three user EDID slots. HF-EEODB (HDMI Forum EDID Extension Override Data Block) is also supported. HF-EEODB is used to optionally expose an extension count different than the base block claims, revealing more EDID data. The deep-look, four-block EDID support analyzes up to 512 bytes of EDID data to ensure HDMI handshake and HDCP compatibility with the latest next-generation displays, which have large amounts of EDID data.
