Description
Boost the wireless capability of your small- or medium-sized corporate network with the Aironet 1852e Dual-Band 802.11ac Wave 2 Access Point from Cisco. Boasting a total aggregate data rate of up to 2 Gb/s, the dual-band Aironet 1852e comes equipped with a Gigabit Ethernet PoE+ (Power over Ethernet) port, which means it can use a single cable for both data and power. An auxiliary Gigabit Ethernet port can be used for link aggregation. The 1852e's multi-user MIMO support lets it transmit data to multiple wireless clients simultaneously. The Aironet 1852e also supports external antennas, which are not included and must be purchased separately. The included Cisco Mobility Express software lets you deploy multiple Cisco access points on a network without a physical controller.Multi-User MIMO Technology The Aironet 1852e access point supports up to four spatial streams when operating in single-user MIMO mode and three spatial streams when operating in multi-user MIMO mode. MU-MIMO allows transmission of data to multiple 802.11ac Wave 2-capable clients simultaneously to improve client experience.Transmit Beamforming Technology Designed to improves downlink performance to mobile devices, including one-, two-, and three-spatial-stream devices on 802.11ac, while helping improving battery life on smartphones, tablets, and other mobile devices.Cisco Mobility Express Solution Flexible deployment mode through the Cisco Mobility Express Solution is ideal for small to medium-sized deployments that require multiple access points. Easy setup allows the 1850e to be deployed on networks without a physical controller.Supported Wireless LAN Controllers Cisco 2500 Series Wireless ControllersCisco Wireless Controller Module for ISR G2Cisco Wireless Services Module 2 (WiSM2) for Catalyst 6500 Series SwitchesCisco 5500 Series Wireless ControllersCisco Flex 7500 Series Wireless ControllersCisco 8500 Series Wireless ControllersCisco Virtual Wireless ControllerCisco 5760 Series Wireless ControllersCisco Catalyst 3650/3850 Series Switches with Integrated ControllerDeployment Modes Centralized local Standalone (via Cisco Mobility Express with controller function running on the access point) Sniffer Cisco FlexConnect Monitor OfficeExtend802.11n Version 2.0 Capabilities 4 x 4 MIMO with four spatial streams Maximal Ratio Combining (MRC) 20- and 40-MHz channels PHY data rates up to 600 Mb/s (40 MHz with 5 GHz) Packet aggregation: A-MPDU (Tx/Rx), A-MSDU (Tx/Rx) 802.11 Dynamic Frequency Selection (DFS) Cyclic Shift Diversity (CSD) support802.11ac Wave 1 and 2 Capabilities 4 x 4 MIMO with four spatial streams, single-user MIMO 4 x 4 MIMO with three spatial streams, multiuser MIMO MRC 802.11ac beamforming (transmit beamforming) 20-, 40-, and 80-MHz channels PHY data rates up to 1.7 Gb/s (80 MHz in 5 GHz) Packet aggregation: A-MPDU (Tx/Rx), A-MSDU (Tx/Rx) 802.11 DFS CSD support Rogue device detectionIntegrated Antenna 2.4 GHz, gain 3 dBi, internal omnidirectional, horizontal beamwidth 360 5 GHz, gain 5 dBi, internal omnidirectional, horizontal beamwidth 360 LED Indicator Status LED indicates boot loader status, association status, operating status, boot loader warnings, and boot loader errors.Powering Options 802.3at Enhanced PoE Cisco power injector, AIR-PWRINJ6= Cisco local power supply, AIR-PWR-D= Cisco power injector, AIR-PWRINJ5= (supports 802.3af only) 802.3af Note: If 802.3af PoE is the source of power, the 1852e 2.4-GHz radio will shift to 2 x 3 from 3 x 4, and the USB port and AUX Ethernet port are disabled.
