Description
Designed to drive high-power graphics cards and processors, the PRIME PX ATX 3.1 1600W 80 Plus Platinum Modular Power Supply from Seasonic features ATX 3.1 and PCIe 5.0 compatibility, with a total power output of 1600W. It is equipped with native 12VHPWR connectors, Digital Fan Control, and electrolytic capacitors that are rated up to 221 F for long-term durability. This PSU has two M/B connectors, nine CPU/PCIe connectors, six IDE/SATA/Molex connectors, and two 12VHPWR connectors. It stays cool using a 135mm fan with fluid dynamic bearings. Included are the cables necessary for operation.Feature Summary ATX 3.1 and 16-pin PCIe 5.0 Cable (12VHPWR)90 PLUS Platinum CertifiedCybernetics ETA Titanium and Lambda A-135mm Fluid Dynamic Bearing FanDigital Hybrid Fan ControlTight Voltage Regulation (12, 5, and 3.3V 3%)Gold Plated High Current Terminal (MB, CPU, and PCIe)12 Year Warranty80 PLUS PLATINUM The PRIME Platinum Series achieves 80 PLUS Platinum certification with its 92% efficiency at 50% system load.ATX 3.1 and 16-Pin PCIe Gen5 Cable (12VHPWR) Seasonic's PRIME ATX 3.1 Series is designed and built to power PC components requiring the ATX 3.1 and PCIe 5.0 standards.Digital Hybrid Fan Control Seasonic's vast experience in designing the most silent and efficient power supplies on the market was translated into the development of Hybrid Mode; a state-of-the-art digital fan control that enables users to keep the overall fan noise at the lowest possible level.Fluid Dynamic Bearing High-performance Fluid Dynamic Bearing (FDB) fans are designed to take advantage of the impact absorbance effects of oil. They are extremely reliable and generate considerably less operating noise and heat than ball bearing fans. The lubrication of the bearing surface reduces friction and vibration and therefore lowers overall power consumption. Due to the effortless, quieter rotations and its robust construction, this reliable technology also greatly increases the lifespan of the fan.How It Works When the fan shaft rotates, high pressure oil drifts along the grooves of the bearing sleeve to generate a thin layer of lubrication between the bearing faces. As the speed increases, so does the dynamic oil pressure, and the shaft is lifted from the bearing to create smooth, effortless rotations. The herringbone shape of the grooves helps to efficiently channel the lubricant and avert leakage.Cable Free Connection Design Seasonic's engineers have implemented a design feature where instead of cables, the back panel and the PCB (Printed Circuit Board) are connected by a copper plate. This solution not only lowers the chance of production errors during manual insertion, but also improves output power quality.
