Designed with an atypical magnification that brings subjects a bit closer than a standard 8x power, without sacrificing exit pupil diameter or eye relief length that commonly happens with a 10x, GPO USA's black 8.5x50 Passion HD Binocular uses individual extra low-dispersion (ED) glass lenses that are laminated together into a single unit to minimize internal light reflection and chromatic aberration which enhances resolution, contrast, and color rendition beyond what ED glass does in a traditional lens design.Added to this Double HD lens configuration, the Passion HD combines large objectives, phase-corrected BAK4 Schmidt-Pechan prisms, and anti-reflective fully multi-coated optics that work together to further enhance the optical performance and produce clear and bright images with accurate color representation across the entire field of view without distortion, or spherical or chromatic aberrations.
