Description
Reviving the iconic circuitry of the MF-102 Moogerfooger for modern musicians, the Behringer BM-12 is an analog ring mod pedal with modular CV/expression connectivity, a flexible LFO output, and far more extensive control than a typical ring mod. With Rate, Amount, Mix, and Frequency controls, you can create everything from otherworldly metallic tones to tremolo FX with ease. The BM-12 sports two switches: one for selecting Hi/Lo modulator modes and another for switching between a square or sine wave for the LFO. Both a Carrier signal input and output are provided, along with CV inputs for Rate, Amount, Mix, and Frequency. You also get a dedicated LFO output for modulating external devices. The onboard drive control and analog preamp allow you to dial in colorful saturation, adding an extra layer of tone shaping to your processing, or allowing you to use the pedal as a pure, high-quality analog overdrive. The pedal features a classic, vintage-inspired aesthetic, with a durable black metal chassis, wooden side panels, and large, high-quality pots for control. The BM-12 runs on a standard 9V power adapter (sold separately).Based on an Iconic Pedal The BM-12 is based on the legendary Moog MF-102 Moogerfooger, a now classic pedal from 1998 that offered incredible all-analog circuitry and an unusual amount of control for a ring mod pedal. The original MF-102 contained three complete modular functions: a ring modulator, a voltage-controlled carrier oscillator, and a voltage-controlled dual-waveform low-frequency oscillator (LFO). Designed by Bob Moog and his engineering team, the MF-102 was a direct descendant of the original Moog modular synthesizers, adapted to process, modulate, and play with inputs ranging from guitar, voice, and synthesizer to any imaginable audio source. Now extremely rare, sought-after, and expensive on the second-hand market, Behringer is resurrecting this iconic pedal for modern players. Now reborn with expansive controls and modular-style connectivity, the BM-12 sports a dedicated carrier input, onboard preamp, and flexible CV/Expression options meaning, this analog beast is built to inspire guitarists, synth players, and sound designers alike.
