Description
Musicians, lighting designers, and production studios looking for a powerful yet easy to use solution for connecting and mapping devices via MIDI, Ethernet, WiFi, and USB will be thrilled with the Bome BomeBox with Flange, a MIDI hub well suited for stage or studio that integrates a mounting flange into the enclosure. This full-featured device provides a multitude of connections including two 5-pin DIN MIDI connectors (In/Out), two Ethernet ports, and a USB (Type-A) port for connecting USB MIDI devices, USB hubs, and multiport USB-MIDI devices. The BomeBox features a built-in MIDI patchbay with unlimited virtual routings. Create long distance MIDI connections via Ethernet or build a MIDI network with centralized access to all MIDI devices connected to the Ethernet network. Use the integrated WiFi to create a wireless hotspot, hub, or client. The BomeBox can quickly and easily be configured via tablet, smartphone, or computer and works with Windows and macOS using Ethernet or WiFi (Bome Network Tool). Unlimited mappings, splits, scenes, conditional routing, and MIDI processing can be achieved with the integrated MIDI Translator Pro engine. The robust ABS enclosure can withstand the rigors of on-the-road wear and tear. The device is powered by 5V micro-USB or via PoE (Power-over-Ethernet with 48V). The PoE and MIDI connections can pass power using the PoE out port. A micro-USB cable is included.Benefits Robust, reinforced ABS caseMIDI-DIN: 1 x input, 1 x output. A PoE power source usually provides the most stable power for attaching multiple devices using a passive hub.Strong micro-USB power supply (like the one found on the Raspberry Pi) or another standard cell-phone charger with micro USB plug (but be aware of quality differences). This type of power supply is not recommended if you want to attach multiple USB devices using a passive/nonpowered USB hub.Powered USB hub. Most powered hubs can be used to power the USB devices and the BomeBox. This is a good option for using multiple USB devicesExternal battery / power bank
