The 1RU BST-25/216 Synthesized Base Station Transmitter from Comtek is an auxiliary base station transmitter which comes with a 1RU rack-mounting faceplate. The base station transmitter is designed to operate in the 216-217 MHz band under parts 22, 74 and 90 of the FCC regulations making it compatible with other manufacturers' all-in-ear type receivers operating in this band. For highest fidelity operation, the PR-216 receiver must be used with the wide-band companded channels. An external antenna (not included) can be attached through a BNC RF connector. This transmitter may be used for personal cueing, tour guide applications, language interpretation, and assistive listening. The BST-25/216 also operates with the Phonak microEar VHF in-ear receiver in the narrow-band non-companded channels.
