The design of the Spyderco Kapara Folding Knife is a collaboration with Australian custom knife maker Alistair Phillips. Based on Phillips' Redback knife inspired by the Kapara, an Australian spider with a distinctive red stripe on its back the Kapara features a CPM S30V stainless steel blade, Spyderco's high-strength Compression Lock, skeletonized stainless steel liners, and beautifully contoured solid carbon fiber scales. The knife's red G-10 spacer is a tribute to the real-life spider's coloring.An ambidextrous tip-up wire pocket clip allows for comfortable carry on either side of the body.
