The 45 to 90 Extension Plate can be attached to various camera supports from either the 45 or 90 side. CAMVATE designed this compact adapter for use with their shoulder pads, among other items. With the 45 side attached to the angled shoulder pad, you can mount accessories at a right angle. When the plate is attached from the 90 side (to cages/various plates), accessories are mounted at a slant. The plate provides two 1/4"-20 threads on the slanted side and two rows of threads and a slot on the right-angle side.
