The Schoeps CCM 2S LG MT is a set of three CCM 2S LG compact omnidirectional microphones, featuring a 3-pin LEMO connector configuration and factory-matched for both frequency response and sensitivity. This matched trio is commonly used in Decca Tree recording, a technique renowned for its natural spatial imaging and depth. When positioned near the reverberation radius of the sound field, these microphones achieve a sonically balanced pickup, a quality that has made the CCM 2S one of Schoeps' most popular pressure transducers among recording engineers. The CCM 2S exhibits a slight high-frequency emphasis for frontal sound incidence, with only minimal roll-off in off-axis and reverberant sound fields. Its frequency response falls between that of the CCM 2 and CCM 2XS, making it a highly versatile choice for various applications.
