The Alpine Astronomical Baader M55-to-M68 Adapter allows you to directly connect your 2" ClickLock Star Diagonal to larger visual backs and other accessories.The diagonal is designed to allow the 2" nosepiece to be removed, exposing female M55 threads on the body so you can directly mount the mirror and eyepiece holder portion of it directly to the telescope's visual back. This adapter installs on the diagonal body's M55 threads to provide male M68 (Zeiss-style) threads for direct mounting onto compatible gear. Using this adapter provides the mounting strength and stability you want while adding just 1mm of optical length without affecting the 2" clear aperture.
