SOMA Laboratory's Cosmos Drifting Memory Station is a looper designed to evoke meditative states through sonically evolving repetitions. Quality is boosted with high-end Cirrus Logic converters, Burr-Brown op-amps, 24-bit / 48 kHz resolution, and 32-bit floating point internal processing.Functionally, Cosmos is a large sound memory database, constantly recombining recorded sounds. Ever-changing soundscapes are generated in three ways a mathematical shift based on relationships between large prime numbers (the sizes of all delay lines are different primes), asynchronous LFO operation, and modulation with an ever-evolving chaotic signal.
