Description
Designed to mount electronic equipment in a ceiling plenum, the Atlas Sound CR212-NR is a ceiling-mounted equipment rack that saves space and looks inconspicuous, as it's fashioned to fit in with common drop-ceiling tile designs. The unit features a door assembly with an open-frame construction so you can choose to conceal the rack behind a mounted ceiling tile, doing so with retainer tabs that lock the tile to the frame. The rack itself offers 2 RU of rack space with a 9.25" half-width design to accommodate half-rack gear. An AmbiTILT mechanism used in this design gives you three methods to easily load and maintain your equipment. The CR212-NR integrates a power pack that powers all the mounted electronic devices. You'll find five electrical outlets powered by standard 15A edison-style plugs. Four outlets are placed inside the cabinet, while one remains exposed when the door is shut, which helps you to power things like data projects from the ceiling. Furthermore, these power supplies utilize a quiet fan assembly rated at 24 dB SPL, a-weighted, to keep the equipment cool.Built to Last The CR212-NR is built in AtlasIED's Texas-based manufacturing facility. Proudly made in America and built to last, 18 AWG powder coated metal provides a strong and rigid assembly with decades of operational use.Multiple Punch-Outs for Electrical and A/V Connectors Another AtlasIED advantage, the cabinet side panels include four removable 4" square standard cover plates. There are two cutout panels per side, and each side has one cover plate with a single 11/2" knockout. Another plate offers two double knockouts for 1/2" or 3/4" conduit connection. The provided cover plates can be replaced with an installer-provided custom plate with connectors such as an Ethernet jack, HDMI jack, NL4, XLR, and RCA connectors and much more.Multiple Mounting Methods Mount this rack by suspension from a threaded rod via Atlas Sound's separately available threaded rod rail kit. This is the preferred method, as it keeps the whole assembly the most stable. Alternatively, you can use suspension cables via AtlasIED's separately available cable-mounting kit. The enclosure can also be mounted with third-party mounting accessories.
