Description
Designed to mount electronic equipment in a ceiling plenum, the Atlas Sound CR212P-NR is a ceiling-mounted equipment rack that saves space and looks inconspicuous, as it's fashioned to fit in with common drop-ceiling tile designs. The unit features a door assembly with an open-frame construction so you can choose to conceal the rack behind a mounted ceiling tile, doing so with retainer tabs that lock the tile to the frame. To ensure that you can mount a projector which will align with the center of a projector's screen, the CR212P comes with a precision pole adapter for projectors with an 11/12 thread. You'll have your choice of three positions to choose from when it comes to installing the projector pole, so that you can align the projector with maximal efficacy. The rack itself offers 2 RU of rack space with a 9.25" half-width design to accommodate half-rack gear. An AmbiTILT mechanism used in this design gives you three methods to easily load and maintain your equipment. The CR212P integrates a power pack that powers all the mounted electronic devices. You'll find five electrical outlets powered by standard 15A edison-style plugs. Four outlets are placed inside the cabinet, while one remains exposed when the door is shut, which helps you to power things like data projectors from the ceiling. Furthermore, this power pack utilizes a quiet fan assembly rated at 24 dB SPL, a-weighted, to keep the equipment cool. All equipment can be turned on or off via an exposed power switch.Built to Last The CR212-NR is built in AtlasIED's Texas-based manufacturing facility. Proudly made in America and built to last, 18 AWG powder coated metal provides a strong and rigid assembly with decades of operational use.Multiple Punch-Outs for Electrical and A/V Connectors Another AtlasIED advantage, the cabinet side panels include four removable 4" square standard cover plates. There are two cutout panels per side, and each side has one cover plate with a single 11/2" knockout. Another plate offers two double knockouts for 1/2" or 3/4" conduit connection. The provided cover plates can be replaced with an installer-provided custom plate with connectors such as an Ethernet jack, HDMI jack, NL4, XLR, and RCA connectors and much more.Precision Projector Pole Adapter An integrated pole adapter can easily mount a projector underneath from a standard 11/2" threaded pole. To ensure the projector properly aligns to the center of the projection screen, AtlasIED provides a precision system. Three knockout choices are supplied so the installer can precisely choose which knockout best aligns the projector to the center of the projection screen. Once chosen, the installer opens the chosen hole and installs the provided pole plate adapter. Now, it is ready to thread in the pole and mount the projector. To ensure the pole is safely secured in place, the rack incorporates a locking screw mechanism.Multiple Mounting Methods Mount this rack by suspension from a threaded rod via Atlas Sound's separately available threaded rod rail kit. This is the preferred method, as it keeps the whole assembly the most stable. Alternatively, you can use suspension cables via AtlasIED's separately available cable-mounting kit. The enclosure can also be mounted with third-party mounting accessories.
