DESERT ISLAND SET MK 2

Schoeps

The matte-gray Schoeps Desert Island Stereo Set with MK 2 Capsules is a versatile microphone kit designed for capturing high-quality stereo recordings. It includes two CMC 1 U miniature Colette microphone preamps, two MK 2 omnidirectional matched capsules (with their matching certificate), and two SG20 stand clamps, all packaged in an ultracompact Peli hard case for protection. The set is particularly useful for field-recording applications due to its portability and rugged build. The linear frequency response of the MK 2 capsule with respect to frontally incident sound waves results in a very natural sound for near-field recordings (i.e. in close proximity to the sound source). This capsule can be set up very close to the sound source without sounding too brilliant or harsh.None Complete alternative to the renowned CMC 6 amplifierCan be used in place of the CMC 6 with no compromiseXLR output connectorElectrical characteristics of the CMC 1 U are equal to, or even better than, those of the CMC 61.4" long (about a third the size of the CMC 6)1.3 ounces (about 40% lighter than the CMC 6)Fully compatible with all existing MK capsules and Colette active accessories such as the CUT 60 and RC tubesVery high immunity from RF interference with the Schoeps RFI ShieldIncludes mic clip for easy attachment to a mic standSuspension mounts such as the Rycote INV-6 are available separately
