DESERT ISLAND SET MK 2S

Schoeps

The matte-gray Schoeps Desert Island Stereo Set with MK 2S Capsules is a versatile microphone kit designed for capturing high-quality stereo recordings. It includes two CMC 1U miniature Colette microphone preamps, two MK 2S omnidirectional matched capsules (with their matching certificate), and two SG20 stand clamps, all packaged in an ultracompact Peli hard case for protection. The set is particularly useful for field-recording applications due to its portability and rugged build. The MK 2S capsule's moderate, high-frequency-response elevation above 4 kHz (at 0 ) compensates for high-frequency losses caused by a slightly increased, diffuse field amount when used near the reverberation radius. Its somewhat brighter sound (compared to the MK 2 and MK 2H) makes the MK 2S ideal for A/B stereo, Decca Tree, or as a room microphone, especially in larger rooms.None Complete alternative to the renowned CMC 6 amplifierCan be used in place of the CMC 6 with no compromiseXLR output connectorElectrical characteristics of the CMC 1 U are equal to, or even better than, those of the CMC 61.4" long (about a third the size of the CMC 6)1.3 ounces (about 40% lighter than the CMC 6)Fully compatible with all existing MK capsules and Colette active accessories such as the CUT 60 and RC tubesVery high immunity from RF interference with the Schoeps RFI ShieldIncludes mic clip for easy attachment to a mic standSuspension mounts such as the Rycote INV-6 are available separately
