The pad switch reduces the sensitivity by -10 dB, allowing the DM-1S to handle SPLs up to 135 dB, enough to withstand even the heaviest hitters.Part of Sontronics series of drum-specific mics, the DM-1S is almost identical to the DM-1T tom mic (available separately) in size and weight, making it well suited for use together on drum kits and easy to position for optimal results.
