Description
The Bluefish444 Epoch | 4K Neutron with External Audio I/O & RS-422 features three bidirectional 3G/HD/SD-SDI connectors, an HDMI monitoring output, and a breakout cable connector. An included breakout cable adds RS-422, auxiliary reference input, AES/EBU input/output, and analog audio connections. Also, one of the three SDI ports can be set up as a reference input instead of a video I/O, so you have a choice between using an onboard connector or the breakout cable for reference input. The card supports up to DCI/UHD 4K/30 resolution video input and output with extremely low latency of sub on field or frame. The 4K Neutron is an internal full-height, half-length 4-lane PCIe card compatible with Windows, Mac, and Linux systems, but it can also be installed in optional Thunderbolt enclosures from Sonnet and other brands for alternate multimedia workflow options, including integration with a second PCIe card, such as a PCIe-based SSD drive or RAID controller. Included with the card is a free download of the Bluefish444 IngeSTore acquisition software and Bluefish444 cross-platform SDK. Other features of the card include embedded audio support, high-performance bypass relays, 4 x 4 x 33-bit color matrix, 12-bit video signal path, hardware downstream keyer, full-duplex DMA data transfer, and 256MB of onboard memory. The Epoch | 4K Neutron can be used for broadcast graphics, post-production, liveevents, and digital intermediate, mobile production, QC, video over IP, and streaming workflows among many others.Key Features Full-height, half-length 4-lane PCIe, Gen 1 card (8- and 16-lane compatible)Three independent and simultaneous bidirectional 3G/HD/SD-SDI BNC connectorsUp to DCI/UHD 4K/30 resolution playout or capture via dual-link 3G-SDISimultaneous HDMI monitoring outputBreakout cable supporting RS-422, AES/EBU, analog audio, and reference input connectionsOne of the three bidirectional BNC connectors can be set to function as a reference input instead of passing a standard video signalCompatible with Mac, Windows, and LinuxHigh-performance bypass relays4 x 4 x 33-bit color matrix12-bit video signal pathAudio sample-rate convertersMR2 master routing resourceInput stream integrity managementFull-duplex DMA data transfer256MB onboard memoryHardware downstream keyer16 channels of embedded SDI I/O audioDolby Digital pass-through SDIOperating Modes One SDI input + two SDI outputsThree SDI inputsThree SDI outputsBreakout-Cable Connectivity RS-422 machine control for control of VTRs and other serial-controlled devices (DB-9)8 channels of AES/EBU audio input and output for 7.1 surround sound monitoring (BNC)2 channels of analog audio for quick and simple high-quality audio monitoring (RCA)Auxiliary reference input (BNC)Low Latency The Epoch | 4K Neutron provides access to captured fields or frames to onboard card memory even before the whole field or frame is complete, thereby reducing the latency to sub on field or frame. During a capture or playout, each process can occur at less than or equal to 1 field for interlaced modes, and less than 1 frame for progressive modes.Low-Latency Video Keyer Low-latency hardware video keyer allows video layers to be combined in hardware with microseconds of delay. This allows animated logos, captions, tickers, and more to be keyed over live video feeds at full 12-bit precision, and with minimum input to output delay. The keyer can also function as an image premultiplier to assist in previewing images with alpha data.12-Bit Processing Pipeline Allows 8-, 10-, and 12-bit SDI video signals to be produced from 8-, 10-, 12-, and 16-bit pixel formats, providing the highest image quality available from your source material.RGB/YUV Fully programmable 4 x 4 x 33-bit color matrix provides the highest quality color spaceconversions, reduces color space conversion errors, and ensures the highest quality color accuracy during capture, monitoring, and mastering.Thunderbolt Expansion Compatibility The Epoch | 4K Neutr
