ENDEAVOR ED IV 8420

Vanguard

Building on the success of their earlier iterations, the Vanguard Optics 8x42 Endeavor ED IV Binoculars get upgraded with HOYA extra-low dispersion (ED) glass, phase-corrected SK-15 roof prisms, and their advanced MultiGuard optical coatings to improve light transmission, color rendition, clarity, and contrast; while eliminating chromatic aberration. These updated technologies and materials work together to produce an immersive observational experience on the trail, at the range, in the stadium, or sightseeing around town. To pick out feather and fauna details, the binoculars boast an impressive 5.9' close focus distance. An open-bridge/dual-hinge design helps to reduce weight without sacrificing strength, and provides a large surface area to improve grip strength and security. Textured rubber armoring offers protection from drops and impacts, while further improving the grip and comfort in the hand. Designed for durability, the lightweight magnesium-alloy housing is nitrogen-filled and O-ring sealed to be waterproof, and resistant to internal fogging when moving through extreme temperature changes and environmental conditions. The Endeavor ED IV's provide the performance and comfort birders, hunters, and outdoor enthusiasts require for long observation sessions in all weather.Optical Performance 8x magnification42mm objective lens diameterPhase-corrected prisms provides improved light reflection, high-contrast, and true color fidelitySK-15 prisms have a higher refractive index than BK7 and BAK4, with a lower dispersion than BAK4HOYA extra-low dispersion (ED) lenses virtually eliminates chromatic aberration for true color transmission across the entire field of viewAnti-reflection Advanced MultiGuard fully multi-coated optics improves light transmission for brighter high-contrast images with accurate color rendition377' field of view at 1000 yardsShort 5.9' minimum focus distanceUse and Handling Open-bridge/Dual-hinge designLarge knurled center focus wheel is easy to manipulate even when wearing gloves56-74mm interpupillary adjustment range 4 center locking dioptric adjustmentThree-stage click-stop twist-up eyecups for comfortable use with or without eyewearTripod mountable with optional adapterExceptionally long 19mm eye reliefWide 5.25mm exit pupil completely covers fully dilated pupils in low-light to provide a full-frame view without vignettingConstruction Details Bridge design reduces weight and provides a more comfortable and secure grip by allowing user's hands to wrap completely around the optical tubesLightweight and durable magnesium-alloy chassisNitrogen-filled and O-ring sealed to be waterproof, and resistant to internal fogging when moving through extreme temperature changes and environmental conditionsTextured rubberized armor provides a slip-resistant grip in cold and wet weatherFlip-down tethered objective lens covers
