Explorer Photo & Video

The EX-L Epic Ball Head from Explorer Photo & Video is a large-sized, lightweight travel ball head featuring a hollowed design that makes it up to 20% lighter than similar size heads. It has a load capacity of 66.1 pounds but weighs only 0.9 lb. A robust 44mm ball diameter makes it capable of supporting larger lenses while being compact enough to use with camera bodies and lens combinations of all sizes. The large main adjustment knob incorporates a friction control dial, and an independent pan lock knob allows the head to rotate on its base. The Arca-type quick release clamp is knob-tightened and includes an EX-60 quick release plate. The Explorer EX-L ball head is CNC-machined from an aircraft-grade aluminum alloy and anodized with an oxidation treatment that ensures a durable, high-quality finish.
