Field Optics Research

Outfitted with a magnification and objective size that has long been a favorite of bird watchers, hunters, and outdoor enthusiasts, the Field Optics Research 10x42 Summit Binoculars are equipped with a high magnification and a wide-angle field of view to create an immersive observational experience, while maintaining an easy-to-manage form factor. The compact roof prisms ensure that the optic fits comfortably in the hands of most users, while anti-reflection multicoated optics improve light transmission for bright and clear high-contrast views with accurate color rendition. The comfortable exit pupils and 65 apparent angle of view help to mitigate the appearance of visible hand shake that is common with higher-power optics, keeping the views clear and sharp. The binoculars' large center focus wheel, right-eye dioptric correction, and twist-up eyecups ensure a clear focus by most users, whether they have perfect vision or wear corrective lenses, as well as those who want to observe while wearing sunglasses. The chassis is wrapped in a protective slip-resistant textured rubber armor to add grip security and stability in cold weather. For convenience, a tethered one-piece rainguard and stay-on / flip-down objective lens caps are included that are easy to put on and take off without the risk of losing them. These design and optical features make these binoculars an ideal choice for hikers and hunters, sightseers and tourists, as well as outdoor enthusiasts and sports spectators.Optical Performance High 10x power magnifies the view to make detailed observations of distant objects42mm objective lenses provide the light-gathering capability required for low-light conditions such as at dawn and duskAnti-reflection multicoated lenses improve light transmission while boosting color rendition, contrast, and clarityWide 65 apparent angle of view helps to minimize the appearance of the distracting hand shake that is common when holding high-power opticsGenerous 340' field of view at 1000 yardsUse and Handling Closed-bridge configuration provides a stable platform for the internal focusing mechanismLarge center focusing wheel is slip resistant to make it easy to use in all conditionsRight-eye dioptric correction enables clear focusing even for those without perfect visionTwist-up rubber eyecups for comfortable use with or without eyewearTripod mountable with optional adapter to minimize vibration and eliminate arm fatigue4.2mm exit pupil will completely cover most pupils as they open and dilate in low light conditionsConstruction Details Lightweight and durable aluminum alloy and polymer chassisWater and rain resistantTextured armor provides protection for knocks and impacts while offering a slip-resistant gripTethered objective lens caps and a one-piece ocular rainguard that can attach to the included strap eliminate the possibility of losing the binoculars
