Description
Outfitted with their Gemini 2 GoTo system, Losmandy's G11 GFT Motorized EQ GoTo Mount provides users with a powerful platform built to support and move larger optical tube assemblies (OTAs). All hardware is made of stainless steel to handle the weight as well as resist wear over years of use, while a dual dovetail saddle will accept the common Vixen-style plates and the larger Losmandy D-style plates. A dual-axis DC servo motor is reversible for use in the Northern and Southern Hemispheres and is powered by the included 12-18 VDC car/vehicle power adapter. Supporting the head and OTA is an aluminum tripod with an adjustable height to accommodate a wide variety of users. The brain of the G11 G system is Losmandy's Gemini 2 computer hand controller. Equipped with a 40,000+ object database and updatable via the Internet, it sports a full-color display, an intuitive user interface, and an Ethernet 10/100 port for remote PC control. It features Periodic Error Correction (PEC) and declination-axis backlash correction to provide accurate, precise, and smooth tracking over long periods of time. Multiple guide, slew, and tracking rates allow it to be easily aligned and manually controlled and to accurately track near- and deep-sky objects. A non-volatile memory and real-time clock preserve settings, including backlash correction and PEC, when the system is turned off and power disconnected.Mount Machined aluminum and stainless steelScratch-resistant and reflection-limiting black anodized finishAll stainless steel hardware resists wear60-pound payload capacity to handle large OTAs and accessoriesAltitude adjustment range: 0-68 with locking tangent armLaser-engraved latitude scale in 2 incrementsSingle knob azimuth control with 8.5 travelDual dovetail saddle accepts large Losmandy D-style or smaller Vixen-style platesRemovable 1.25"-diameter stainless steel counterweight shaft with 21-pound counterweightTiltable control panel for easy accessDistance from the top of the tripod to the dec/RA junction, at 34 , is 10"Distance from the dec/RA junction to the top of the saddle is 7"Head weight: 33 pounds12-18 VDC, 500mA power requirementMotors and Gears Motors:Dual-axis DC servo motor0.5 arcsec per stepReversible motors for use in Northern and Southern HemispheresGears:Stainless steel hardwareClutch-release levers for manual use3.75"-diameter needle thrust bearing2"-diameter needle thrust bearingTwo 1.5"-diameter needle bearings360-tooth, 5.625"-diameter, 7075 aluminum worm gearDual supported, ball bearing housed ground brass wormGemini 2 Hand Controller 40,000+ object databaseFull-color touch screen clearly displays all functionsEasy-to-use four-button pattern for guiding, centering, moving, and slewingThree guiding rates: 30%, 50%, and 2x sidereal rateThree setting rates: 4x, 8x, 16x sidereal rateSix guide rates: 0.3x, 0.5x, 2x, 4x, 8x, and 16x sidereal rateTracking rates: Sidereal, Solar, Lunar, King'sPeriodic Error Correction (PEC) improves tracking precision over timeDeclination backlash compensation allows users to program out intrinsic play between gears for smoother and more precise trackingNorthern and Southern Hemisphere modesAuto-guider portControl panel dimmerNon-volatile memory and real-time clock preserve settings when turned off and power disconnectedEthernet 10/100 with full IP function permits operation from anywhere using a browser, ASCOM, or app over the web or serial portSupported languages: English, German, French, and SpanishFirmware upgrade via InternetDual 12-18 VDC input/output (3.0A) for accessoriesTripod Lightweight and durable machined aluminum alloyScratch-resistant and reflection-limiting black anodized finishAdjustable height from 33 to 48"Folding leg design for easy transportingWeight: 35 pounds
