The Kowa 8x33 Genesis 33 PROMINAR XD Binoculars strike an ideal balance between power and portability with moderate magnification and objective lenses that push them almost into the full-size category. To improve image quality and boost the light gathering abilities are complementary technologies that include the use of PROMINAR extra low-dispersion glass, anti-reflection fully multi-coated optics, highly reflective C3 prism coatings, and phase-corrected prism coatings that work together to produce crisp, clear, and bright high-contrast images with accurate color rendition. Added to this performance is a wide apparent angle of view and a long eye relief, which produce an immersive observational experience for any user.Designed for extensive outdoor use, the aluminum alloy chassis is wrapped in a protective rubber armor, and the body is ergonomically designed to offer a comfortable feel in the hand with a secure, slip-resistant grip. The optical tubes are nitrogen-filled and O-ring sealed to be waterproof and resistant to internal fogging when moving through extreme temperature or humidity changes. Tethered objective lenses and a one-piece ocular rainguard ensure that the lenses stay protected while being near at hand for fast use.Optical Performance 8x magnification33mm objective lensesCompact Schmidt-Pechan roof prism optical pathPROMINAR XD extra low-dispersion glass reduces chromatic aberration, which causes halos and fringing, for improved color rendition and contrastAnti-reflection fully multi-coated optics improve light transmission, color rendition, clarity and contrastPhase-correction prism coatings eliminate internal light diffraction to improve clarity and contrastC3 prism coatings improve internal light transmission to higher than 99% across the entire visible spectrum to improve color rendition, clarity, and contrastWide 64 apparent angle of view420' field of view at 1000 yardsShort 5' close focus distanceUse and Handling Closed-bridge/single-hinge configurationLarge textured center focusing wheel is easy to manipulate, even when wearing glovesLocking right-eye dioptric correctionTwist-up rubber eyecups for comfortable use and correct eye relief with or without eyewearGenerous 15mm eye reliefComfortable 4.1mm exit pupilConstruction Details Lightweight and durable aluminum alloy chassisNitrogen-filled and O-ring sealed to be waterproof and resistant to internal fogging when moving through extreme temperature or humidity changesProtective slip-resistant rubber armorErgonomic body design adds comfort and grip stabilityOil-resistant KR exterior lens coatings makes it easy for dirt, sap, and oils to be easily cleaned off without smudges or residueTethered objective lens caps and one-piece ocular rainguardWeight: 21 ounces
