The HD-488 HD-SDI Timecode Reader/Generator/Inserter from ESE is configured for HD-SDI (High Definition Serial Digital Interface) video. Linear Timecode (LTC) and RP-188 Timecode are both read and generated by the HD-488. The unit also accepts a multitude of HD formats. The Inserter mode provides the ability to superimpose time and/or user bits onto video with alphanumeric characters. As many as thirty characters of text can be superimposed onto the video.
