The SHAPE Heavy-Duty Boom Arm for Light Stands is a rigging solution built for lighting, grip, and other production applications where reach, stability, and precise control are critical. Constructed from reinforced stainless steel, the two-section boom extends from 5.7 to 10', providing flexible positioning for lights, microphones, and accessories in both studio and on-location setups. When balanced with proper counterweights, it supports payloads up to 33 lb at minimum extension and 22 lb at full extension, delivering reliable performance even with heavier fixtures. At its base, the arm features a spring-loaded ratchet wheel mechanism, enabling smooth 180 tilting adjustments with reduced effort. The included sandbag helps stabilize the arm, while its aluminum collar locks and captive knobs ensure secure adjustments.
