Countryman

The black I2 Saxophone and Brass Microphone Kit with 4-Pin Hirose Connector from Countryman is a mic that has been built from the ground up for smooth frequency response, low noise, and precise polar patterns with deep nulls and natural on- and off-axis response. It can be used to capture natural audio for this instrument. The I2 microphone is suitable for distance miking that is invisible in front of audiences and on camera. This version offers a standard sensitivity for close miking saxophones, horns, and brass instruments and features a flexible positioning arm for precise microphone placement. In addition, the 5' cable is hardwired to the mic and terminates with a 4-pin Hirose connector for direct connection to Sony WRT-420 and WRT-822B wireless bodypack transmitters. Unparalleled Precision The I2 maintains excellent pattern control and frequency response at all angles. It offers uncolored recordings and reduced feedback issues.Complete Control Flexible close miking techniques are aided by the instrument mounts, which position securely and gently on the instrument for capturing audio.Effortless Possibilities Small size and sonic precision makes this microphone suitable for X-Y, M-S, and other techniques that rely on accurate, coincident positioning and consistent patterns.Polar Pattern The omnidirectional polar pattern picks up sound from all directions equally offering the flattest frequency response, lowest noise level, and is least susceptible to wind noise and vibration. It is recommended for recording and sound reinforcement of acoustic instruments such as percussion, guitar, saxophone, and piano.
