The pedal sports Volume, Sustain, and a wide-sweeping Tone control knob. Top-mounted I/O jacks make it easier to fit the Fuzzsquatch on modern pedalboards and keep cables neat and organized. This pedal can be powered by either a 9V battery or a common 9 VDC power supply (both sold separately). The Fuzzsquatch Fuzzdrive is made in the USA.Legendary Lineage The Fuzzsquatch Fuzzdrive is a recreation of the Electro-Harmonix Big Muff Pi, first released in 1969. Originally marketed as a harmonic distortion sustain, it has been lumped together with fuzz effects, although it s a very different animal than classic fuzz effects like a Fuzz Face or a Tone Bender.The circuitry of the Fuzzsquatch Fuzzdrive differs from the traditional transistor-based Big Muff circuit in that it uses operational amplifiers (op-amps) to achieve its signature sustaining distortion sound.
