Upgrade your workflow with the performance, enterprise-class storage capacity, reliability, and affordability of Jupiter Kore 256TB 16-Bay NAS Expansion Unit from OWC / Other World Computing. With two Mini-SAS HD (SFF-8644) ports, each with 48 Gb/s of bandwidth, you'll be able to push through some serious data. The ports may be used in tandem to drive speeds up to 96 Gb/s, or utilize the second port to add an additional Kore system to increase the system's overall storage capacity. You can also use the Kore to expand an existing RAID system, such as an OWC Jupiter Callisto.OWC's Jupiter Kore features a 3 RU form factor and is equipped with sixteen drive bays that support 3.5 and 2.5" SATA or SAS drives, although this model has 256TB of storage that is configured as 16 x 16TB SATA III 3.5" HDDs. Internally, these drives can transfer data at speeds up to 3.4 GB/s. The Jupiter Kore operates using three redundant 650W power supplies and includes two power cables, two slide rails, two rail extensions, eight M5 pan head screws, twelve M5 cage nuts, and four M5 enclosure securing screws.Connect Multiple Kores for Petabytes of Storage OWC Jupiter Kore provides a vast amount of direct-attached or expansion storage capacity with up to 320TB of storage in this 3 RU/16-drive rack system. As your storage needs increase, attach additional Kore systems via Mini-SAS for even greater capacity.RAID When high-performance RAID storage is a requirement for your computer or server, Kore is the perfect storage for connecting to Mini-SAS RAID controller cards and adapters. Since Kore provides high-speed JBOD storage, it can also extend the storage of networked storage servers such as OWC Jupiter Callisto.Tremendous Mini-SAS HD Speed At the core of Kore is the fast Mini-SAS HD interface architecture which provides single cable speeds up to 48 Gb/s, or run dual direct Mini-SAS HD cables to achieve up to 96 Gb/s. Use this performance to speed up practically any workflow, ingest more video, edit more simultaneous video streams, and move more data around, saving time and money by allowing creative professionals to actualize their artistic vision.3 RU Form Factor Whether building from the ground up, or integrating into an existing system, 16-drive/3 RU racks provide installation flexibility so you can add the OWC Jupiter Kore system that best provides the capacity you need in the space you have.Hot Swap Drives & Fans Downtime is unacceptable.
