It is a great solution when your lens doesn't feature front filter threads or if you want to add an additional filter to your single-filter matte box setup. This Hot Mirror 2 filter blocks infrared light and UV light from passing through to your sensor, reducing IR leak, and enhancing color accuracy, even more than the original Hot Mirror.The filter glass features an antireflective multicoating, making the filter dust, scratch, and water resistant. It is designed to increase the transmission of light through the lens to the sensor, and it helps reduce flares and ghosting.
