Featuring an aluminum frame with small built-in magnets, the 550nm Infrared Magnetic Clip-In Filter from Kolari Vision secures magnetically to the RED KOMODO cinema camera lens mount to sit securely between your camera and lens. It is a great solution when your lens doesn't feature front filter threads or if you want to add an additional filter to your single-filter matte box setup.The filter glass features an antireflective multicoating, making the filter dust, scratch, and water resistant. It is designed to increase the transmission of light through the lens to the sensor, and it helps reduce flares and ghosting. It's also a surprisingly good choice for infrared portraits since it maintains more neutral skin tones than the 590nm without exposing veins and still provides striking false color, but not as good as our IR Chrome. This filter requires post-processing and a full spectrum converted camera.
