The Sigma LH708-01 Lens Hood for 70mm f/2.8 DG MACRO / A attaches to the front of the lens via its bayonet mount and is designed to block stray light from entering the lens and causing flare. The hood can be used as a spare or as a replacement that original came with the lens.
